Amanda Smith is the vice president of public policy and senior counsel at sPower. She also practices environmental law and provides policy advice to clients at Holland & Hart LLP. Smith started her career at The Nature Conservancy working with landowners to preserve private property, and with local, state and federal policymakers on public funding for conservation. She then went to work in state government as an advisor to Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. and later was appointed executive director of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality and energy advisor to Utah Gov. Gary Herbert.
