Crystal Call Maggelet is president and CEO of FJ Management Inc., a diversified family business that includes wholly owned subsidiaries Maverik, a 329 c-store chain, and Big West Oil, a petroleum refinery. FJ Management also has a minority stake in Pilot Flying J. Other family businesses include TAB Bank, a community bank, and Crystal Inn, a small chain of hotels.
In addition to her current role as chairperson of FJ Management’s Board, Maggelet is a director and chair of the audit committee on the Pilot Flying J Board of Managers, a director on the Savage Services Board, and serves on the Utah State University Board of Trustees, Liv Communities Board, Intermountain Healthcare Board and also the Zions Bank Advisory Board.
Maggelet holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, and an honorary doctorate in business from Utah State University. Last year, she was named the national EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Family Business.
Maggelet is actively involved in managing the family’s charitable giving through the FJM Impact Fund, focused mostly on education and scholarships. She loves her role as a mother to four adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys running, skiing and traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
