Mel Lavitt is an investment banker. He’s a senior advisor to Needham & Company, an advisor for many private companies, and chairman of the incentives committee for the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development. He spent most of his career with C.E. Unterberg, Towbin and its successor firms. The growth of Utah as a destination state for business has provided Lavitt an opportunity to use his background and experience to provide financial guidance and advice to entrepreneurs and early-stage startups. Mel and his wife, Wendy, live in Park City.
